The City of Culver City will begin protected bike lane enhancement work on Elenda Street between Culver Boulevard and Washington Boulevard beginning Monday, May 4 through Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 7 am to 4 pm each day.
Toro Enterprises, a City construction contractor, will remove the existing flexible posts and delineators that separate the bike lane from vehicle traffic and install a concrete barrier along the east side of Elenda Street.
These improvements are intended to increase safety and provide a more durable separation between bicyclists and vehicles. Concrete barriers also require less maintenance than flexible posts.
Construction Impacts
The bike lanes will be closed while work is occurring. Please use caution, follow posted traffic controls, and expect bicyclists to use the full lane.
Two-way vehicle traffic will be maintained, with intermittent delays expected.
