Bryan to Speak @ WLAC – Building Resilient Futures Career Fair

West Los Angeles College, emerging as a regional leader in climate and sustainability education, will host a free family-friendly “Building Resilient Futures Career Fair” on Saturday, August 9. The event is produced in partnership with the Office of Assemblymember Isaac Bryan.

Bryan is scheduled to speak at approximately 11:00 am.

West is home to the California Center for Climate Change Education and offers the nation’s first Associate Degree in Climate Change & Environmental Studies, along with related certificates.

The career fair will feature over 30 employers—many with immediate openings for jobs and internships.

Attendees can also explore academic programs and speak with staff about WLAC’s Paid Climate Center Internships which is open to students of all majors.

In tandem with the fair, West will offer on-site enrollment assistance. Prospective students can get hands-on help with the application and class selection, as well as information about student support services and the $0 Tuition Promise Program. A campus tours will be held at 12:00 pm.
