The next chapter in the story of 11111 Jefferson is set to turn the page. Real Estate Developers Lincoln Property Company and McCourt Partners are reported to have signed for $133 million in construction financing for the mixed-use project.
The property has been sitting vacant since 2019, but looks as if it now has what it needs to start to move forward.
The 3.5 acre property at 11111 Jefferson Boulevard was sold to Lincoln by agreement of 18 property owners – most of them heirs who inherited a slice – and the Post Office, coffee shop and auto service businesses all closed in 2018.
The Post Office had announced it would close even before the site was considered for sale, in November of 2017.
The property is approved for a six-story development with 344 residences – including 52 affordable units – with 2,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, a central parking garage, and roughly 17,500 square feet of publicly-accessible open space.
The office space originally included was dropped from the plans in 2025.
KFA Architecture is designing the project in the triangle of Machado, Sepulveda and Jefferson Boulevards.
Lincoln Property Company and McCourt Partners are expected to break ground this year, weather permitting. According to UrbanizeLA, construction is scheduled to be completed over a roughly two-year period, according to an environmental study circulated for the project.
