On Thursday, November 6, students at Culver City High School received vital CPR training through a partnership between Southern California Hospital and the Culver City Fire Department.
Led by Firefighter Daniel Nembhard, the training provided easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions designed to equip students with life-saving skills. This session focused on hands-only CPR, an essential technique that can make the difference when someone experiences cardiac arrest.
As Nembhard said, “Hopefully they will never have to use these skills, but if they do, hopefully they took away some valuable learning points to save someone’s life.”
The fire department’s goal is to eventually train every student in hands-only CPR before they graduate, ensuring that a new generation is ready to respond confidently in emergency situations.
