On Friday, May 17, 2024 the Culver City Council PTA held its annual Honorary Service Awards at the Elks Lodge where it celebrated volunteers from across the district. Honored at the event were the following individuals for their service to Culver City students, along with many winners from each PTA school unit:
Outstanding Administrator: Rebecca Williams
Continuing Service: Leslie Gardner
Honorary Service: Susy Gonzalez, Gina Polesetsky
Outstanding Teacher: Kelley Wilcox
Community Partner: Culver City Exchange Club -Tasha Lowitz
Very Special Person: Emily Clark, Tiney Espinoza-Reiter, Julie Gannon, Eliza Novotny, Karla Pizarro
Golden Oak: Monika Okker
“It was a year’s worth of hard work culminating into a night of uplifting our awardees and celebrating their efforts to make our schools and district a better place for our children,” said Council PTA 1st VP and event chair, Violeta Mendoza. The PTA would like to thank all the parent, teacher and staff volunteers who work tirelessly to support our students and everyone who came out to celebrate.”
