There will be more space and more books, and in all likelihood more coffee coming soon to the corner of Duquesne and Culver as the Village Well expands. The shop will double in size by taking over the space now being used as an office by The Runyon Group at 9900 Culver Blvd. Construction is scheduled to begin early this summer.
Village Well’s proprietor Jennifer Casper offered “This is huge for us! Our shop is constantly full these days with browsing customers, people connecting over coffee and sandwiches, students and remote workers busy on their laptops, not to mention our staff and all these books! It’s hard to believe, but after three short years here, we have grown out of this space already.”
While plans are being drawn up and more bookshelves are on order, the current configuration of the bookstore will continue with all the regular events, including book discussion groups, open mic nights, board games and author events.
