Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove has announced that her office is now accepting submissions for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition until April 12, 2024. Each spring, high school students from every Congressional District in the country submit their artwork for the opportunity to be displayed along the walls of the Capitol for one year. One grand prize winner from each District will be chosen by a group of local judges. The winning artists will receive complimentary airfare as well as room and board to attend the exhibition’s opening in our nation’s Capitol.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for students to add to their college applications and professional resumes.
Every participant in California’s 37th Congressional District will also have the opportunity to have their work displayed in a local gallery here in the District. Kamlager-Dove’s office will organize an exhibition and other incredible prizes to be announced soon. All participants will be invited to a reception in early May to recognize this year’s group of talented artists.
