Asking the question, “Do you know how Culver City spends your money?” the local organization Our Culver will be presenting a Town Hall meeting on municipal budgeting on April 13, 2024 at the Vets Memorial Building at 3 pm in the Rotunda Room.
From the City of Culver City, the revised budget for the year of 2023/2024 (the municipal fiscal year that ends in June and begins in July) is scheduled t spend $5.1 million on streets and traffic engineering, $11.4 million on parks and rec, $17.6 million on tenant protections and homeless services, $32.8 million on fire and emergency medical services, and $54.3 million on police.
Saturday’s meeting will be an opportunity to learn more about the city’s current commitments and priorities, and have a voice in what budgeting should look like going forward.
