Goldrich Kest, one of Southern California’s largest privately owned real estate investors, builders, and property managers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Marina Del Rey resident Andrew J. Kastanos as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Kastanos, with his impressive track record and expertise, will be joining the team following a successful 12-year tenure at StreetLights Residential, one of the premier developers of urban multifamily and mixed-use communities in the country where he most recently held the role as Chief Financial Officer.
Kastanos began his career as a real estate financial analyst for Fortress Investment Group. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business where he majored in Real Estate Finance and Psychology. Kastanos has relocated to the Los Angeles area after spending his career in Dallas.
“Andrew is an exceptional addition to our executive team. His extensive financial experience aligns perfectly with our vision for growth and innovation at Goldrich Kest, and we are excited to welcome him to the family.” Stated Paul Dubord, Managing Director of Property Management and Operations.
In his new role at Goldrich Kest, Mr. Kastanos will handle all matters relating to the company’s cash flow, financial planning, forecasting, long- and short-term strategizing, taxation issues and overall business operations. The addition of Mr. Kastanos to Goldrich Kest comes at a strategic time as the company aims to expand its operations and reinforce its standing in the real estate market. Mr. Kastanos’ expertise will be instrumental in guiding Goldrich Kest towards its strategic financial goals.
Mr. Kastanos expressed enthusiasm about the position: “I am thrilled to embark on this new chapter with such a well-respected company and equally excited about relocating to Los Angeles with my family. I look forward to contributing to the company’s ongoing success.”
Goldrich Kest is a privately owned business that can trace its origins back more than 65 years to two entrepreneurs, Jona Goldrich and Sol Kest, holocaust survivors who parlayed their meager savings into a significant portfolio. Today, the second generation of the Goldrich and Kest families continue to build upon its ever-expanding portfolio of residential, commercial, industrial, and retail projects. Among them are 114 apartment buildings, five marinas, 22 senior living facilities, and, scattered throughout the US, more than 7 million square feet of commercial, industrial, and retail space. Over half of its apartment buildings accommodate low-income families.
