Thanks to the efforts of local activists, the Palms neighborhood will be dedicating a sculpture to the memory of those lost to COVID 19. The art work, which will be placed in Woodbine Park in a ceremony on Dec. 16 at 2 pm, gives a local connection to the grief of the worldwide pandemic fatalities.
Made possible by the efforts of Nastasia Gascon of the Palms Neighborhood Council, and Lee Wallace of the Motor Avenue Improvement Association, the dedication will set a neighborhood standard for public art that commemorates the trauma of COVID19.
