While everyone’s inbox was loaded with requests for donations on Giving Tuesday. the Culver Arts Foundation made it the day to give it away; $35,000 in grant funding was awarded to 16 local artists so they can continue to contribute their gifts to our city.
The awards went to a wide range of creative pursuits, from visual artist Annie Brown’s “Sharing a Meal; A Visual Love Letter to Culver City Restaurants,” to film maker Bun Huber’s “Bridging the Gap:Culver City Youth /Senior Interview Project” to Jennifer Racusin’s mixed media sculpture “Collaborative Assemblage Installation with CCUSD Elementary Schools.”
The motto – Art Changes Everything – continues to hold true for both the Foundation and their grant winners.
