Inglewood Oil Field Health Study – Is Proximity Hazardous?

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is sponsoring a study to understand possible health impacts on residents that live near the Inglewood Oil Field. The study will be conducted by researchers from UCLA and they are seeking the public’s participation with this effort.

All households within 1.5 miles of the oil field can participate in the study. Participation is completely voluntary and confidential. Should you agree to participate, your contributions will include:

Completing a health questionnaire
Taking a blood pressure measurement
Taking a lung function measurement

This study is being conducted as required by the Baldwin Hills Community Standards District Settlement Agreement and Mutual Release and has been approved by the UCLA Institutional Review Board for the protection of human subjects (IRB # 21-001613).
