Beginning next week, Main Street will be closed to auto traffic. Culver City will begin construction of the project to install automatic retractable bollards along Main Street at Culver Boulevard and at the City Limit.Work in the project will begin Monday, August 28, 2023, and will happen four days a week; Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Construction hours will be from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Work will begin at Main Street along the City limit and then continue along Culver Boulevard. Traffic from Culver Boulevard and Venice Boulevard will be allowed to U-turn at the closures.
A pedestrian walkway will be provided on Tuesdays during the Farmers Market.
Residents and the public may experience loss of street parking, construction noise, dust, etc. Every effort will be made by the City and the contractor to minimize these inconveniences.
Observe all traffic controls and parking restrictions.
