New Stop Signs on Elenda? Public Works to Discuss

The school complex is on of the most heavily trafficked areas in Culver City, with three schools on two contiguous streets. The city’s Public Works Department is proposing more  new stop signs and crosswalks. The meeting will take place on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 7 p.m.,  In-person at City Hall, City Council Chambers 9770 Culver Blvd, Culver City, CA 90230

The Public Works Mobility & Traffic Engineering Division is proposing to modify the intersections of Elenda St. at Garfield Avenue and Elenda Street at Franklin Avenue to be all-way stop controlled. In addition, a painted crosswalk would be added to the south leg of the intersections of Elenda Street at Franklin Avenue. These enhancements are in alignment with Culver City’s Safe Routes to School and Vision Zero Policies and its Local Road Safety Plan and Bicycle and Pedestrian Action Plan.

Staff will make a brief presentation. All stakeholders are invited to express their opinion and ask questions.

If you are unable to attend, send email to [email protected] or call (310) 253-5634 and leave a message. All comments will be taken into consideration.

This community meeting is in substitution of a discussion originally planned for the March 30, 2023 Mobility, Traffic & Parking Subcommittee meeting.
