AVPA Offers Award Winning “Reflections” for Women’s History

In a unique collaboration between AVPA Theatre and Film, a work emerged at the beginning of the pandemic that resulted in this film: Reflections.

This piece was written by an amazing young woman named Ginger Anderson-Willis when she was in 8th grade. Her words speak to the experiences of so many women at every stage of their lives. This short film was directed, written, shot, edited, acted, and scored all by young women. With the help of poetry and film, together women can empower other women

Having been shown and winning many awards at film festivals around the world, the film is now available to view, having been released on March 8, International Women’s Day.
