Loredo Declares Victory in School Board Contest

Stephanie Loredo, an advocate for education, sustainability, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), today announced her election to the Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) Governing Board. Stephanie received enough votes to secure one of three open seats in this year’s Culver City school board election. She is the first woman of Filipino descent elected to public office in Culver City and the first Filipinx American elected to any school board in Los Angeles County outside of ABC Unified School District.

Stephanie’s historic campaign began with a vision of a culture of care that empowers students, faculty, staff, and families to thrive in public schools. On the school board, she will focus on collaborating with Culver City stakeholders to strengthen this culture through the pillars of achievement, belonging and community. Stephanie’s four-year term begins at the next Culver City school board meeting in December 2022.
