Library Donation Bins to Be Replaced; Donations During Library Hours Only

The Culver City Friends of the Library Board would like to thank everyone for their generous donations of nice clean books, magazines, DVDs and CDs. Many of these books have been added directly to the library collection. Book Room sales have made it possible for us to support the staff and the various programs presented by the County.

Recently there have been some problems with the donation bins. The biggest problem occurred when it was hit by a truck which destroyed one bin and damaged the one remaining. As such, the organization will be removing the remaining bin and replacing it with a new larger bin. Unfortunately this means that in the interim, they cannot accept large donations without an appointment.

However, if your donation is three bags or three boxes or less, you may bring those into the library at the front desk during open hours.

Please do not leave any donations on the back loading dock or on the sidewalk at the rear of the library. We will let you know when the new bin is purchased and installed.

  1. Not yet – the CCFOL is still accepting donations, but you need to bring them into the library during regular hours. Bins will be replaced soon, but no date has been confirmed.
