Getting ready for the season of giving? Teaching generosity starts with the basics. Preschool students packed boxes with toys and essentials for refugees and children impacted by natural disasters as part of a national collection week for Operation Christmas Child.
Their teacher, Bonnie Wacker from My Friends Montessori Preschool in Culver City said, “It’s a great way for them to learn about giving and thankfulness. And It’s wonderful to know where the boxes end up. They went to an orphanage in the Philippines last year and brought smiles to those children who otherwise would not have a gift.”
It’s never a bad idea to be a good example.
