The community is invited to the Friends of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center’s annual meeting and program virtually this year. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Installation of officers and President Diana Hauptman’s review of the year will take place from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m.
The program will begin at 7:00 p.m. Sarah Huss, a sexuality educator who is Director of Human Development, Parent Education and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice at Campbell Hall School, will present a “Parent 411.” This is “The Talk Every Parent Dreads but Every Teen Needs” dealing with dating, sex and healthy relationships. Leaning into these conversations with your child is a parenting must-do, but these discussions often get neglected due to fear, discomfort, or a lack of tools. The goal is to help you feel inspired and confident to be your child’s primary go-to person for support, information and advice. Zoom information is located on our website www.sandysegalyouthhealthcenter.org.
The Friends group serves as the fundraising arm of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center which is located on the Culver City Middle School and High School campus and is managed by the Venice Family Clinic. Low cost and free physical and mental health services, as well as health education, are offered to the middle and high School students.
