The Prison Project Alumni’s commitment to continue the work with our incarcerated brothers and sisters and to create a support system for the ones returning home is beyond inspiring. We are humbled to be working with such driven and generous team of teaching artists who go above and beyond to give back to the community inside our prison system.
In this workshop, since the first stay-at-home order, the Alumni have been developing games, writing prompts, and improvisational exercises for the distance-learning packets that we regularly send to our incarcerated participants in 13 California State Prisons. They have also been developing a piece that speaks to their experiences with our prison system.
