The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death.
Team Riley will be meeting at Culver City High School at 11 am on April 24, 2021, walking together to raise funds for suicide prevention. The walk will end at Baja Cantina towards the end of Washington Boulevard in Venice.
Riley’s mother, Bridget McCarthy, stated “We are joining thousands of people virtually or in person across the country on April 24th in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s mission to save lives. If walking isn’t something you can participate in, please join us on Saturday 24th at the Baja Cantina on Washington Blvd (by the beach) to cheer us on! Team Riley will there from 1:30-3pm and we would love your support and encouragement. Baja Cantina has a large outside area reserved for the team. There will be lots of room and a sea breeze. Friends and supporters are welcome.
