City Opens Virtual Performing Arts Center – Applications Open

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all industries throughout the world, including the arts. As our community continues to recover and adjust to a new normal, the Culver City Economic Recovery Task Force and Cultural Affairs have collaborated on a Virtual Performance Center (VPC) to promote community arts organizations. The VPC will maintain visibility for local arts organizations while supporting the city’s position as a cultural arts center and vibrant creative economy.

“Cultural Arts are a valuable piece of our economic and emotional recovery during COVID-19”, said Culver City Mayor Alex Fisch. “Despite our current challenges, Culver City remains a center for cultural innovation and is committed to promoting the extraordinary performances presented by our local arts organizations.”

The VPC will showcase performances by Performing Arts Grant Program recipients and is also open to other community arts organizations by application. Arts organizations based in Culver City are invited to submit their virtual performances and apply for a “marketing sponsorship” for inclusion on the City’s website, as well as other promotional assistance including social media posts and email blasts.
