I think it is worth noting that, in spite of all the prior concerns about merging the Culver City municipal elections with national elections, the turnouts were spectacular. In April 2018, the top vote getter (Daniel Lee) got 2768 votes; in November 2020, the top vote getter (Albert Vera) got 10,665.
And to think we were worried about National issues being a distraction.
