Election Updates – Vera and McMorrin Maintain Leads, Eriksson Leads Puza by 18 Votes

The most recent ballot updates from LA County show incumbent Mayor Goran Eriksson leading challenger Freddy Puza by only 18 votes. It is not known how many CulverCity ballots are still waiting to be counted, but this is a race that will be open right down to the final certification.

The top two vote collectors, Albert Vera, Jr. and Yasmine Imani-McMorrin traded place after the first two updates, but both are expected to stay on the top tier.

Eriksson holds a total of 8.610 vote to Puza’s 8,592. The next up date will be posted by the county on November 17, 2020.

The paper-think margin between third and fourth has all supporters reaching out for those who might need to ‘cure’ their ballots. If you voted in Culver City and did not sign up to have your ballot tracked, you can still do so. If your ballot has been rejected, you can seek to correct a signature mismatch.

There has been no change in results for Measure B – still losing, or Measure RE – still winning.

Go to the “Vote California” ad on the right side of this page (scroll down if you are reading our phone edition) and click through to the LA County Registrar’s page to find out how to cure your ballot.
