West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin) and the Water Replenishment District (WRD) are working together to present the 2020 Water Industry Careers and Guest Panel, a virtual career day video series for students ranging from sixth grade through college seniors. The free series will culminate in a live panel on October 15, where students will have the opportunity to learn and ask questions about career paths, training programs, and other opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields, with a special focus on jobs in the water industry.
The live interactive panel will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 through Zoom. Featured panelists will speak to students about careers in engineering, mapping technology (GIS), hydrogeology, and operations. Panelists will also share their experience working at West Basin and WRD.
Pre-recorded video interviews will be made available to the public on the following dates:
