Looking to replace three existing houses with a five unit condominium development, Minaret Development Partners has Breakform Design architects creating a new look for the corner of Lafayette and Braddock.
The project, as detailed in a presentation to the Culver City Planning Commission on August 28, 2020, would rise at the northwest corner of Braddock Drive and Lafayette Place.Each of the condominiums – a mix of two- and three-bedroom units – would be capped by a rooftop deck.
The architects and developers met with the community October 8, 2019 to discuss concerns in regard to construction, traffic and design of the project at Linwood E. Howe Elementary School. Community concerns included preservation of trees, managing traffic in the alley, and the height of the residences, which will allow them to see into neighbor’s yards. The development team assured that landscaping – trees included – would be creating more privacy for the area.
Construction, originally scheduled to begin in March of 2020, is still not yet rescheduled.
