Join the Actors’ Gang for our Virtual Summer Camp as we explore the art of theater-making…FROM HOME! The focus of the camp is to provide a safe space for children to exercise their imaginations and express themselves creatively. In addition to playing fun theater games and interacting as an ensemble, participants will engage in elements of The Actors’ Gang signature acting technique referred to as “The Style”, based on the physical and improvisational form of Commedia dell’Arte, a 16th Century Italian theatrical form that entails a high level of focus, a strong connection to emotions, and a heightened awareness of ensemble. In “The Style”, children are encouraged to express honest emotions through bold character choices and develop confidence through various writing and drawing exercises, along with fun video performance opportunities.
