In August 2019, Culver City implemented interim rent control and tenant protection measures for a 12-month period. On June 11, 2020, the City Council decided to move forward with considering a permanent local rent control and tenant protection program.
The Council will hold a virtual Special Meeting on Thursday, July 16 at 7:00 pm to consider extending the current interim rent control and tenant protection measures through October 31, 2020.
In addition, they will also take up what measures should be included in a local rent control and tenant protections program.
