While the bridge across La Cienega moves towards completion, Stoneview Nature Center must reduce it’s public hours because of revenue shortfall.
COVID-19 has resulted in a loss of revenue to the county parks system (no facility rentals for events/meetings, no program fees, no sports league fees, etc). In response to budget cuts coming in the new fiscal year, the park operating schedule will be changing.
Starting Wednesday, July 1. 2020 the park will only be open Wednesdays through Sundays. The park will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. In addition, the operating hours will also change.
Summer hours (now through September 30, 2020) will be 11 am to 7 pm, Wed to Sun.
Winter hours (October 1, 2020 through April 30, 2021) will be 8 am to 5 pm, Wed to Sun.
The park will be open on Monday (county observed) holidays like Labor Day, and Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day.
The new hours will most likely be in effect for the entire 20/21 fiscal year.
