1) Pet Adoption: A Purposeful Rescue at The Platform – January 18, 2020

A Purposeful Rescue will be at The Platform this Saturday to spread some K-9 love. Stop by between 11a.m. and 1 p.m., grab a coffee, and snap some pics with a cute pup!

2) Event: Remembering King – January 20, 2020

Actor Gerald C. Rivers will kick off this event with a reenactment of a Dr. Martin Luther King speech at the entrance of City Hall. Following will be a candlelight ceremony to honor Dr. King lead by the Culver City Inter Faith Alliance.

3) Event: Chamber of Commerce 2020 Installation Gala and Silent Auction – Friday, January 24, 2020

The Chamber is hosting it’s swearing-in gala for its new leadership, including new Chair of the Board, Kristin Cavanaugh of Sony Pictures Entertainment. There will be free valet parking, hosted bar, live music, and a silent auction.

4) Exhibit: 15 Years of Thinkspace – Now through January 25, 2020

Over 70 contemporary artists created pieces for Thinkspace’s 15th anniversary exhibit. The medium? 15 by 15 inch custom panels. Thinkspace specializes in the New Contemporary Art Movement, and presents emerging and established artists.

5) Exhibit: A Conjuring of Conjurors by Lezley Saar – Now through February 22, 2020

Lezley Saar is a mixed-media artist and painter with work at MOCA, CAAM and the Ackland Art Museum, among others. Saar’s art reflects on themes of race, politics, gender, and beauty and she received the California State Senate Contemporary Art Collection award in 2000.
