Come to Antioch University Los Angeles’ free Literary Uprising reading series and hear Faculty and students share their latest work! This quarter features BA Faculty Reader, Adonia Lugo ( author of Bicycle/Race: Transportation, Culture, and Resistance ) and MFA Alum Reader Claudia D. Hernandez, (author of the recently released cross-genre memoir Knitting the Fog, winner of The Feminist Press’ Louise Meriwether First Book Prize.) They will be joined by Linda Abrams, from UCLA Extension Writer’s Program, and winner of their Allegra Johnson Prize, John Fukuda, a writer from Jim Krusoe’s SMC Advanced Fiction Class, and BA student reader Kathryn Berenson. There will be wine and soft drinks, delicious appetizers, words, conversation, community, and books for sale! Free Parking passes.
