If you were one of the many who strolled the sidewalks of Downtown Culver City on the third Wednesday of the month this past summer, you got to see the sites, hear the music and vote for your favorite cocktails. And now, we have the winners!
At the quarterly meeting of the Downtown Business Association, honors were handed out to the restaurants and mixologists who garnered the most votes by Third Wednesday visitors.
In June, Simonette at the Pali Hotel came in first, with the best Spiked Lemonade.
In July, City Tavern took the honors for best Summertini.
In August, Ugo won for best Tropical Punch, using their deservedly famous gelato as a special ingredient in the mix.
Cheers to the winners! The association also noted that there were more businesses participating with every succeeding month, and that August saw the most drinks handed out of any Third Wednesday since the whole party started.
The next sidewalk stroll for the DBA will be the Historic Halloween on October 27 from 4 to 6; participating businesses will be handing out Trick or Treat candy for the kids, and accompanying adults can make a night of it with dinner at any of the downtown restaurants.
