The Small Press Book Festival of September 21, 2019 saw more than 400 visitors come to the Wende Museum to look at literature, read news, and connect with other reader and writers. From 11 am to 4 pm, the venue was filled with conversations, and presses like Beyond Baroque’s imprint Beyond Books and Green Tara Press sold dozens of volumes. The Culver City Arts Foundation was there to invite people to discover more about the vital cultural core that powers the creative economy in town.
“It was a success bigger than we could have imagined,” said Organizer Mark Lipman, the head of Vagabond Press. “If the community wants this, I see no reason not to plan for it to happen again next year.”
