Gold Award Gun Buyback – Girl Scout Partners with CCPD

The standards for a Girl Scout Gold Award are very high. It must be a project that benefits your community for a long time. Shelby Hanson has paid close attention to those standards, and is doing a Gold Award projects that rings true with current concerns, and is sure to prevent future problems. Her award will be hosting a gun buyback event for the Culver City as her Girl Scout Gold Award project. In partnership with the Culver City Police Department, this Ambassador Scout clearly reads the news and knows how to connect with a goal.

Do you have an unwanted gun in your home? A family member’s home? Do you know someone who does? Please bring any guns, unloaded and in your trunk, to the parking lot of the Wende Museum in Culver City on January 12, 2019 and receive a$100 Gift Card in exchange, while supplies last.

One less gun in a home can save a life. Easy access to guns can lead to tragic consequences for children and teens, both from accidental shootings and intentional suicides. The statistics are clear and the solution is obvious.
