The City Clerk’s Office has been an authorized United States Passport Acceptance Facility since 2006, providing passport services to residents and non-residents alike. When the United States Postal Service discontinued passport processing services at many of its locations, Culver City became overwhelmed with the increased demand and discontinued its walk-in service. In an effort to streamline the process and provide better customer service, Culver City is pleased to announce the implementation of a new automated appointment reservation system which will go live on the City’s website on September 5, 2017.
The new system will allow passport applicants to view available appointments on the City’s website and schedule a date/time that is convenient. To reserve an appointment, applicants can visit http://www.culvercity.org/city-hall/passport-services to review availability and select single or multiple appointments as needed. Beginning in September, passport appointments will be available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Information and links to all of the necessary documentation required for the appointment is also available on the City’s website. The City of Culver City is excited to launch this new online reservation system and to extend the passport acceptance hours with the goal of providing improved customer service to the community. As walk-in acceptance facilities continue to close, the City Clerk’s Office strives to make booking a passport appointment as effortless as possible so that applicants can focus on their travel plans.
