Trumpcare failed.
The failure of this bill last Friday afternoon is a perfect example of what happens when a community makes their voices heard. The victory today is your victory.
Where do we go from here? My guess is that we won’t hear about a plan to repeal or replace anything for a long time. Whether a vote is coming up in the next few hours, the next few months, or the next few years, we will not stop standing up for those with pre-existing conditions and we will not stop making sure that individual market plans will continue to provide needed basic coverage.
Thank you for your calls, emails, and even your tweets. It’s that activism that helped us arrive at the result this evening. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
