AVPA’s Danger Zone Dance Company presents “A Walking Nightmare” – an original and entertaining fall concert set to songs by Danny Elfman for the hit movie, Nightmare Before Christmas. The family-friendly performance will take place Nov. 19 and Nov. 20 in several locations on the campus of Culver City High School. Dances have been choreographed specifically for the sites at which they will be performed: amidst trees and shrubs on the school grounds, at bike racks, in corridors, on stairs and stoops.
“A Walking Nightmare” will have two performances on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., and on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. The second performance on Saturday will be followed by a free screening of Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas. Audience members are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking outside.
The concert will take place at Culver City High School, 4401 Elenda Street. General admission tickets are priced at $10; discounted $5 tickets are available for ASB members, CCUSD faculty, seniors, and children under 12. Tickets are available on Eventbrite; advance purchase is requested so that performers can plan for each audience. To order tickets, visit http://ow.ly/vQfc306aMvc.
