Most college fairs look to unite high school seniors with the colleges and universities they plan to attend the following fall, but in Culver City, the focus is one reminding students of all ages that they should be thinking about college.
“We want to reinforce the idea that even as kindergartners, our students are thinking about college,” said Superintendent Josh Arnold. “It’s never too early promote the college-going culture for all kids, so it was great to see students of all ages, especially our middle-schoolers, out there learning about their options. It was truly fantastic.”
Culver City High School College Counselor Thelma Valverde organized last week’s event, which was open to all students and families throughout the District.
The event included participation from more than 80 colleges and universities, and well over 1,000 people attended.
