CCEF Will Host Cyber Safety Seminar with Symantec

imagesIn a rapidly changing world where information is at students’ fingertips in a matter of seconds, it is becoming increasingly difficult for parents and educators to stay on top of helping to keep our kids safe while online. Harassment and cyber-bullying are on the rise. Representatives from Symantec, an industry leader in cyber security, would like to discuss some safeguards to protect our children in the digital age. We will be focusing on grades 4-8.
Topics will include:
* Best practices for keeping your child safe online
* Device monitoring/protection
* Identify and help with cyber-bullying
* Social Media Safety (Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, Instagram)
* Avoid Digital Drama
The event will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4 in the CCMS/CCHS Multi-Purpose Room at 4601 Elenda Street. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

Please RSVP – call David Ross, CCUSD Technology for Learning Specialist (310) 842-4200 Ext. 4369, or go to [email protected]. Thanks to the Culver City Education Foundation creating the event.
