Final Ballots for City Council Race Won’t Change Victors

ballot-box-graphicPending receipt of signature verification from Los Angeles County, Culver City will complete the signature verification process on the final ballots and prepare verified ballots for counting on Thursday April 21, 2016 at 1:00 pm.

There are now a maximum of 237 ballots ready for counting. Since the difference between the candidates with the third and fourth highest number of votes is 256 votes, it is not possible for the outcome of the election to change once the maximum of 237 ballots are counted.

Congratulations to re-elected Council Member Meghan Sahli-Wells, Council Member-Elect Thomas Aujero Small, and Council Member-Elect Goran Eriksson! On Monday, April 25, 2016 beginning at 7:00 PM, the City Council is requested to consider certifying the results of the election. Shortly thereafter, the newly re-elected and elected Council Members shall be administered the Oath of Office and take their seats on the City Council! All members of the public are welcome to attend the City Council meeting.
