A group of local families are getting together to host a book drive this Saturday from 12 to 3 pm. From Lea Kaai “Our kids have baked cookies to swap for gently used books. Meet us at Carlson Park on Saturday to drop off your donation. All books will be donated to the Westside Children’s Center.”
Bring your gently used children’s books to Carlson Park and be rewarded with homemade cookies.
The Westside Children’s Center is committed to breaking the cycles of intergenerational poverty, abuse, and neglect by creating a level playing field by providing children with an environment that catalyzes their creativity and innate intelligence and teaching parents how to support their children’s physical, cognitive and social-emotional development, thus preparing them for a life of learning.
