CTG’s Education and Community Partnerships Department is continuing its Theatre 101 series with a free student workshop on Saturday, April 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. The workshop, Kick-Start Your Acting Career 2.0, will be held in the Music Center Annex at 601 West Temple St. in Downtown Los Angeles. It will discuss a broad range of topics tailored to the young actor interested in furthering his or her acting career and is available to all rising high school juniors, seniors and college freshmen.
Through a series of roundtable discussions and interactive activities, participants will learn how to create an acting resume, how to stay safe when going to auditions and how to join a local theatre company. The workshop will be led by professional actors, theatrical agents, actors’ advocacy group representatives and several leaders of the L.A. theatre scene.
Students can sign up for the Kick-Start Your Acting Career 2.0 workshop by emailing [email protected] with the following details: the student’s full name, email address, school grade and phone number. No prior theatre experience is necessary.
