Dear Editor,
I have been a resident of Culver City for over forty years. Recently when I was attempting to walk through Coombs Park located between the 10700 and 10800 blocks of Farragut Drive and 10700 and 10800 blocks of Franklin Avenue I was harassed by an unleashed dog being allowed to play in the park by her owner.
As the dog continued to harass me, the owner showed very little control over her dog.
The signs in Coombs Park say “NO DOGS ALLOWED”. In addition, Culver City has its own leash laws.
If dog owners wish to exercise their dogs, then may I suggest The Culver City Dog Park located on Duquesne Avenue (about 3/4 miles east of Overland) south of Jefferson Blvd. It is open from Sunrise until 10 p.m. daily.
Respectfully yours,
Mary Heyl
