On Friday, November 7, 9 am-4:30pm, Ballona Creek Renaissance will co-sponsoer the Ecology of the LA River Conference at CSU Northridge, with registration and breakfast, 8:30-9:00am. BCR is proud to be an Endorsing Organization for what should be an informative conference with many of the same stakeholders, issues and opportunities as we have in the Ballona Creek Watershed. In fact, as late as the 1800s, the LA River often flowed to the ocean via Ballona Creek.
Join the Council for Watershed Health in exploring research on biological resources within the LA River Watershed, including its algae, vascular plants, freshwater mollusks, fish, amphibians and reptiles, birds, and mammals. Let’s further the conversation on the interaction between all living things in the complex watershed system.
