Coastal Cleanup Day (CCD) is an international event with over 60 countries around the world participating, making it one of the largest volunteer efforts on the planet!
Each year, Culver City Public Works Environmental Programs and Operations and local community support participate in the Annual Coastal Cleanup Day (CCD) on the Ballona Creek bike path.
Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. till noon, Culver City joins over 12,000 volunteers from all over Los Angeles County at 70 different sites to take action to rid our beaches and inland waterways of unsightly harmful debris.
Coastal Cleanup Day in Culver City is a fun way for individuals, neighborhoods, schools, and community and company volunteer groups to get involved and demonstrate their commitment to healthy water.
Hosted Registration sites will be located at:
Syd Kronenthal Park (at the bike path entrance)
Duquesne Avenue (north of Culver City Transportation Building)
Overland Avenue (Behind Julian Dixon Library)
Sepulveda Blvd., (on Bike/Creek path entrance)
We are honored to have as the host for the four registration sites on the Ballona Creek Bike path:
Echo Horizon School, www.echohorizon.org
Culver City Bike Coalition, www.ccbike.org
Ballona Creek Renaissance, www.BallonaCreek.org
Bring your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to participate with the thousands of volunteers around the world in taking a stand against ocean pollution on Coastal Cleanup Day.
