Culver City’s annual Fiesta La Ballona August 22-24 at Veteran’s Park promises a weekend of free musical entertainment, a beer garden and a bit of shenanigans from local Rotarians. Traditionally, the Culver City Rotary is on hand as one of the local sponsors, an event produced by the City of Culver City. Once again, Rotary is resurrecting “El Pokey,” the infamous portable jail for those who might be in need of a ‘time out.’
Stop by and visit local Rotarians, learn about the Club, and if you’re lucky, you won’t end up in the Pokey. The Culver City Rotary folks will be next to the diamond (by the food trucks and the Euro Bungy ride). You can find out more about the Rotary Club, get to know your neighbors, help build the community and make friends at the Culver City Rotary Club, which has been giving back to the community since 1930.
For Rotary membership information, contact President Joel Forman, at 310-837-7455, or email [email protected]. Their website is culvercityrotary.org.
