Do you remember the Meralta Theater, the Culver Movie Theater, or Sagebrush Cantina? These places were the heart of downtown Culver City decades ago and many of you may not remember them, but you are probably familiar with the Culver Hotel which has been standing since 1924, and continues to be a centerpiece of our City. Christopher Patrick King, candidate for City Council, is holding his fundraiser “From the Gilded Age to the New Age” at the Hotel. The building evokes the history of early Culver City and Chris’s campaign platform builds on that history and looks to the future with creativity and excitement. Chris stated, “I am so happy to be able to invite supporters to join me at the Culver Hotel which exemplifies so well the history of the City I love. I look forward to serving on the Council and bringing the City into the future with specific innovative ideas.”
The event will be on Wednesday, March 26th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hotel. Come dressed in your vintage best from any of the previous decades and there will be prizes for best costume. There will also be a fabulous silent auction and delightful delicacies for your palate. The cost is $50 per person and $80 per couple. You can pay online by credit card at cpk4culvercity.com. For more information and to make a reservation contact Pat Levinson at [email protected] or call 310-490-3029. This is a fun way to support Chris’s campaign for City Council.
