Lois and Jason Frand, recipients of the 2013 Playa Vista CCEF President’s Award and known throughout our community for their dedication to math enrichment in our elementary schools, have donated $5,000 to CCUSD’s Backpacks for Kids program. The program provides a backpack full of food for Culver City students who would otherwise go hungry on the weekends. After all, no child can do his or her best in school when they are hungry.
