To ensure that consumers have ample time to enroll in coverage for January 1, 2014, Covered California has extended certain deadlines. For coverage to take effect on January 1st, consumers must now enroll by December 23, 2013 and make their first month’s premium payment so that their insurance company receives it no later than January 6, 2014.
Covered California has also established a Telephone Hotline for consumers with enrollment questions around coverage transitions, health plans and benefits, and options for the most affordable coverage. The hotline operates Monday through Friday from 8am to 8pm and Saturday from 8am to 6pm. The number is 1.855.857.0445. To learn more, visit
