The Actors’ Gang, a theatre company in Culver City, is excited to invite students from all CCUSD Elementary Schools to join its FREE after-school program for the Fall of 2013!
The Actors’ Gang will be teaching kids its signature theatre style based in the Commedia dell’ Arte. The Style, as Actors Gang calls it, is a derivative of an historical Italian theater form from the 16th Century that The Actors Gang has used as its foundation of training and performance for 30 years. Classes will be taught by The Actors’ Gang, company members and will include theater games in ensemble building, character development and improvisation. The focus of the program is to empower the students with a form of artistic expression and to develop their artistic voice.
The program will be held on Tuesdays from 3:30 5:30 p.m. beginning October 8. There will be a final presentation/demonstration at The Actors’ Gang on the last Tuesday, December 10.
Parents and guardians must be responsible for transportation to and from the theatre for the duration of the program. Pick-up from the theatre will be at 5:30 p.m., please be prompt.
This program is for fourth- and fifth-grade students only, and enrollment is limited so please email or call us to secure a spot for your child by Friday, October 4.
